There were a couple of books I finished up, this week, as well; the Wolves of Time series, by William Horwood.
The first is called Journeys to the Heartland, and the second is Seekers at Wulfrock.
They're interesting in that they are a story about a pack of wolves, from the animals' perspectives, during the downfall of humankind and with that the repopulation of canus lupus in Europe.
It can get a bit graphic in places, though, so it's definately best for readers that can handle a bit of gore being described.
