What did you think of Eragon? I tried to read it but stalled on the first page; something just didn't ring true for me. Yet I hear a lot of people liked it and I want to know why.

I ended up enjoying it. It started a little slowly, but ended up being a really well written story.

I'd be interested in hearing how it didn't ring true for you.
