Well I'm now 24.
It doesn't feel any older than 23 did.
But then again I've decided long ago that I'm never going to get any older.
Which may be why I'm always asked how I'm enjoying starting college. *g*
Reuben and I rented mopvies over the weekend. We seem to have a system of going Öh this looks good"and getting entertaining results. Like this weekend's choices:
1.) Earth vs. The Spider - Comic book inspired kinda horror. It's about a comic book loving security guard who injects himself with some spider genes and the killer he turns into. If you like seeing bodies drained of blood, and entertaining morphing special effects this is a movie for you.
2.) Mean Machine - British movie anbout soccer and gambling. Was actually extremly good. Had weird twists going on through out the film that at the end all combined for a fantastic ending...
3.) No Such Thing - A woman goes to find out what happened to her boyfriend who is missing in Iceland, discovers a monster and all the things that happen afterwards. I liked this one alot, it was cute and sweet in an Indy film way and it was good. Reuben however said there was no point to it, that the charecters were not developed in a good way (case in point they show the main charecter having an extremly painful spine surgery done to her), and that it ended badly and abruptly. *shrug* to each their own opinion I guess....

on 2002-08-12 02:05 pm (UTC)As for Predator movies, I just saw those for the first time this past week also. I don't know how I missed them when they first came out. My father owned the first two Alien movies on laserdisk and watched them alot, and had me see the other two when they came out. I think the Predator movies are right up his alley...
Be warned, there is a small amount of violence in No Such Thing, and alot of language as the monster has a potty mouth for much of the movie. But the violent bits are small (A gun shooting the monster, and a gang of people beating up the monster).
