I just heard Johnny Cash covering the NIN song Hurt. I like it better than the original. But then again, II'm a sucker for Johnny Cash's music.

wow...i DIDNT know about that...and im a huge fan of the man in black as well....tho i seem to recall us having a discussion but im sleep deprived so i may be wrong...

I don't own any of his music, but while I was at the radio station I managed to listen to alot of his records.

Actually, It is very very good.

I love that cover. We bought the album a couple weeks ago. We're goth suckers for Cash. He is so incredibly amazing.

The video for "Hurt" is very, very moving. It makes me cry when I see it. It's amazing how different the tone of the song is when Cash sings it. I like Reznor's version, too, but they each bring a very different vibe to the feeling of marginalization.

It seem to be on medium rotation on MTV, M2, VH1, and MMUSA.

You are right, it is very very moving.

I think the best driving through a drive through moment was when I was dressed up for a goth nite, getting food on my way to class (as I went from school right out to the club), and pulling up to the window singing along to Ring of Fire at the top of my lungs.

I got a very very weird look from the cashier.
