Fickle ficle Chicago Spring Weather.

Yesterday was nippy but beautiful, and this morning we woke up to about am inch and a half to two inches of snow.

I need to go to the grocery store.

However after last weeks adventure, I don't want to try borrowing my mom's car. And it's a bit cold to walk to and from the store with alot of groceries...

Sorry I didn't call this weekend. I got very sick. :(

Basically, I borrowed my mom's van last Friday, got three blocks away, it died. Called AAA, and when the tow truck got there the engine turned over. Tow truck followed me to the repair shop. They couldn't find anything wrong.

The belt had been squeeking, and now it doesn't (o maybe they tightened it, but didn't charge my mom anything).

Basically, I had to wait in the cold with a van that wasn't working at an intersection where even with my flashers on I had to get out and direct traffic around me as they would pull up behind me with their left turn signals on anyways.

Then I had to take the bus to the library (not a big deal) and I still haven't gone grocery shopping (gonna drag Reuben out tonight as the local fruit market had some good deals on lunchmeat and pot roast meat and of course vegetables.)

(In case your wondering--I keep this journal thing to keep my college friends up to speed since it just annoys me sooo much to write seperate emails--I don't know too many other ppl who actually keep journals--but now I know three--all brilliant laneites)

you know, my reasons for starting this journal were essentially the same. That and I wanted someplace to post my playlists when I was at the Radio Station.
