*bounce Oh I so needed this show. It was hot (John cursed about sold out shows and no air conditioning being on and they turned the air on), crowded (a reference was made about the audience area looking like the #6 subway during rush hour),and way too smokey (John also comment on turning the smoke machine off 'cause we can't see our arms up here). Due to going over after work i missed okgo (the opening band), and in fact got there with about five min. to spare before they started playing.

Kinda setlist as I wasn't sure of all the song names:

1. Subliminal 2. Dr. Worm 3. Cyclops Rock 4. James K. Polk 5. I've Got a Fang 6. Sit in the bottle? (didn't catch it) 7. Yeah Yeah 8. Birdhouse in your soul 9. S E X X Y 10. Twisting? 11. Actual Size 12. Older 13. Your not the Boss of me 14. Man it's so loud in here 15.But what can I do (cover) 16. Drink 17. Particle Man 18. ? (something instrumental) 19. ? Played faster than b4 20. ? played "Quantum Leap fast" 21. Working undercover for the Man 22. Robot Parade 23. Guitar (the Lion Sleeps Tonight) 24. The Sun is a mass (of Incandescent gas) 25. She's an Angel 26. New York City Encore #1 1. Hit by a blue car (?) 2. A song done by only the guitarist 3. Constantinope Encore #2 1. Fingertips

I wish that I had been able to get about 5 feet further in front of me, amonst the huge group of people bouncing and dancing around to the music. As it was since it was so crowded, and I wanted to aviod a panic attack, I stayed relatively in the back. The last half of the show was spent leaning on the side of the bar due to people being rude and pushing their way into an area that had *no room* And of course, all of them were *taller* than me (I'm 5'5"-ish and was standing on the higher of the two lower levels, had great views untill the 6'+ guys decided to stand in front of me) So, I didn't get to much more than groove along to the music, because the bar was sort of in the way of dancing. But it was sooooooo much fun.

And I came back here to the store to close out my draewer (As I had told Dave I would when the show ended) and he had closed out the drawer for me. *grin* I guess he thought that I wasn't going to show back up or something.

I'll have to thank him on Sunday when I see him next :)

It was fun!

It was a great show, as always. Several of the audience members weren't jumping around, though, which was a little bit of a bummer, but the reaction was generally very good. A few corrections to your set list:

6. Lie Still, Little Bottle (Lincoln)
10. Twisting (Flood)
18. The Famous Polka (Misc T)
Encore #1,1: Mink Car (Mink Car)
Encore #1,2: I don't recall..?!

Glad you had fun, too!

Thank you. There were a few songs I really couldn't remember the names to, and being waaaay in the back didn't help sometimes :) Plus I don't think I own anything past Factory Showroom due to money issues. Although I really love being an airshifter at WEFT, as now at least I can *hear* some of the ones I don't have :)

This is the third of their shows I've seen. Each one had it's own energy, and each one has been a ton of fun :)
