It's amazing how a beakerful[1] of newly opened orange tiger lillies and a few leaves make the freshly cleaned counter look like such a cheery place.
[1] I use various sized flask beakers as vases for several reasons. 1. I like the look of flowers springing from labratory equipment, and 2. we have no room for big vases in this apartment.
