Aye, being around the other allergens (dust, mildew, etc) earlier in the day probably filled your bucket, making the smoke reaction that much worse. Happens to me all the time. *sigh*
I wish my state/county/town would pass ordinances against indoor smoking, but seeing as how I live in VIRGINIA.... not bloody likely.
Things that help me: making sure I take my antihistamines an hour before I go to the club. Showering as soon as I get home, and tossing the stuff I wore directly into the washer (non-washable things like steel-boned corsets get hung up to air out in a part of the house I rarely frequent). Taking breathers outside the club (not possible in all areas, but it is here) to get away from the smoke...
