Glitter Glitter Glitter ang lunchboxes.
May. 31st, 2002 09:39 amI'm eating coco krispies. It's been forever since I ate them last, and you know what? I'll take Muslix any day over the coco krispies.
too sugary
So B and I survived our shopping expedition.
We hit the Pink Frog, and what was the first thing B grabbed? Blue glitters fishnets. Even after I had told her what mom had said. But she also found pale blue thigh high stockings which she is going to layer under and try and convince mom to let her wear them that way.
I love my sister's fashion sense sometimes.
However, tights at the Pink Frog have gone up in price alot in the past two years. It used to be you could get tights for between $3.99 and $5.99. now its between $5.99 and $9.99 with most of the fun prints at the $7 mark or $9.99 mark. Plus they still only carry one size fits all. which irks me as I personally am not built for one size fits all, and I have to find a good garter belt if I'm to cut tights into stockings before using.
We wandered down Clark st. to Addison to catch a bus home and stopped at Disgraceland. Where B found a red and black chesogam that fit her perfectly until she tried to move her arm (she has swimmers shoulders which give her problems at times.) I however found a pair of boots that have a uniform platform of about an inch across the bottom, lace up about 9 holes and then have a strap that buckles across with a silver buckle in a size 5 that fits (although they need to be broken in as they are narrower across the width than the shoes I've been wearing lately. but they are dressy and nice and I didn't realize until afterwords that they are normally expensive Calvin Klien shoes that I got for under $20 after tax.
We also stopped in at Strange Cargo as B wanted to see what kind of Chucks they had. They had the normal spring color range, without the tie died or hawaiian, print ones. Although they did have the orange tie died chucks in lowtop versions. But as we were walking to the door what did I see? Battlestar Galactica lunch box complete with thermos marked waaaaay down.
So of course I couldn't resist that I mean it's a real metal lunch box not these lunch box style boxes that are not that sturdy :)
It was fun. I missed B's call to ask if I could help her with her hair. But I figure I'll be braiding it when she gets home...
