I had forgotten ho much I missed having local "ethnic" fruit markets around. It is nice to be able to give myself a $30 budget and get alot of produce and bread and stuff.
The six block walk there and 6 blocks back was nice.
I have decided that I need to get back in shape.
The running up and down six sets of 6-7 steps to get to the apartment will help some. B has a really nice rowing machine in the basement. I need to get some workout music and use it for a half hour a couple days a week. Plus, the local park is a mile away and they have lap swims twice a week that I would like to start going to a couple days a week.
I don't mind how I look. I do however, hate being so out of shape.
* Need to get a better "get in shape plan"
* Need to get a bicycle to get places without being too dependant on the CTA
* Need to eat less junk food (this has been remedied slightly as I bought alot of fruit and veggies yesterday. Having them in the house and not junk food helps)
* Want to get Reuben weaned off the dependancy of frozen meals.
* Need to figure out what happened to Yuffie's copy of Lunar the Silver Star story. As it's been missing since the move from the apartment with Grog and Laura and I don't want to have to buy a new copy.
* Need a Job!
Off to check on some possibilities of work then off to use the rowing machine. It's nothing like rowing out on the lagoon, but until I can afford to become a member of the Lincoln Park Boat Club and take some sculling lessons it's the closest I get. I can actually feel my back muscles getting worked out, and it is helping my posture slightly *yay!*
