I remember now why I stopped reading the group. I miss the diy-ers, and the swaps that actually had results (and I remeber the ones that resulted in a ton of swaplifters), I miss the group being something other than the where can you buy this and ranting about the normals group it had become. *sigh* I wish I had a time machine and it was '96-'97 again.

did an google groups search. Looks like my first post was sometime in early 1998 (after two years of lurking) and my last post was in 2001.

Swap things like stuff forgotten at other people's houses, Curry Pringles, that kind of thing.
Tell you what. If I make it up there about the end of the month, I'll swap you some photography paper that I think is yours for some jewelry that I'm fairly sure is mine. I'll even throw in some ties in the bargain. If it'd make you feel more at home, I can turn you around & say rude things about you behind you. Then it could be just like you were on a certain other list. Oh, was that harsh? Right. in-side voice. Right.

i occasionally read AGF these days, but I post even more rarely. It's a lack of interest on my part and a lack on content on the newsgroup's part. *shrug* at least i miss all the drama this way. ;)
